Confession – I am obsessed with Nike shoes, well all things Nike to be honest, but especially their shoes! Nike’s world headquarters are in Portland, OR so you can really feel the brand’s presence in the city, so naturally, I felt the urge to purchase a new pair of shoes during my visit last month.
If you saw in my last sneaker post (Friday Favorites: Nike LunarEpic Low Flyknit), I shared that I used to work for Nike and during my time as an employee there, I learned that there are shoes specifically designed for just about any activity (i.e. soccer, golf, tennis, training, etc.). I’m a huge fan of running shoes because I find them to be the most comfortable for day-to-day wear, but I own a pair of old training shoes, so I knew that I wanted to purchase a new training-specific pair while I visited the Nike store in Portland. Without further ado, I present to you the Nike Zoom Fearless Flyknit Women’s Training Shoe.
I mainly wanted a comfortable, supportive, and lower profile shoe for gym training, and I thought these would be perfect for that! Here are some of the listed features directly from Nike’s website.
- “Flexible stability – Ultralight, flexible Flywire cables integrate with the laces to deliver midfoot support and stability during side-to-side movements.”
- “Responsive Cushioning – Nike Zoom Air cushioning in the heel is lightweight, low-profile and responsive, and full-length Cushlon foam provides a soft, supportive feel.”
- “Durable Traction – The durable rubber sole features a hexagonal pattern with densely placed traction pods in the toe area for excellent grip during activities like planks, burpees and sled pushes.”
I also noticed that on Nike’s website, the shoe comes in 15 different color options, so there’s a color way for just about everyone’s preference! When I was younger and in my tomboy swag days, I genuinely did not care about shoes matching whatever soccer shorts and baggy tees that I was wearing, but now there are times that I do find a bit of fun in putting together an outfit, even out of workout gear!
Do you have any shoes that you like for gym workouts?
